Unprecedented Sales Levels at Andersons
When the historians write about the year 2020 it is unlikely they will give much mention to property sales in Kinross-shire. Yet it does seem somewhat bizarre that here at Andersons we are looking at our highest ever volume of local property transactions for a property season. Initially there was talk that it was due to pent up demand after the initial lockdown but our total sales figures for March to December have far exceeded what we would usually expect. There has also been reference to stamp duty incentives and this too may be a factor. However the one trend that does seem common in feedback from purchasers and potential purchasers is that individuals and families just want to live in nicer and smaller places. Kinross-shire, as we all know, is a prime location. In Kinross and the surrounding villages we are blessed with great schools, many sporting and leisure facilities, an increasingly diverse range of top quality High Street Shops and an outstanding array of local restaurants and pubs. Add all these to the benefit of being a central location with good transport links and the attraction is obvious. Every area in “The Shire” has a good community spirit and ethos and this is, we believe, the most important factor in making this a special place to live. At Andersons we appreciate the area we live and work in. We are proud to be part of the community and the many benefits of being part of such a community is something we are always happy to convey to any potential house purchaser. A house is much more than bricks and mortar. The people who make up the community are the key to any area becoming a place you are happy to call home. This is where Kinross-shire truly excels and we should never lose sight of the things that make each of our communities special.
